I’m a wildlife artist based in Hastings/St Leonard’s. I missed my calling all those years ago but hey, better late than never!!
I was a late starter to the world of art but once I discovered how much I loved to paint I taught myself new skills via YouTube and other artist tutorials. I began with pet portraits until I eventually found my niche.
With a love for wildlife and animals in general it was only natural that I’d pursue them as the basis of my artwork.
Up until recently I’ve always used oils but due to the drying time amongst other reasons i decided to transition to acrylics. It means I’m able to finish each piece of artwork a lot quicker. I’m always open to trying new mediums but when you find one that just works for you in every way, why change!
My inspiration comes from lots of places. The wildlife programmes I used to watch as a child, the current plight of our wildlife, even my own pets! Animals are just beautiful souls that I love to capture on canvas.
